World Trademark Review 1000 Recommends EPAM for IP Work in Russia and Ukraine

EPAM enters the silver and bronze band in the World Trademark Review (WTR) 1000 for Russia and Ukraine. Pavel Sadovsky and Taras Kyslyy, the IP practice heads in both jurisdictions, are ranked in the honorable silver band.

According to a source in Russia, EPAM is “gaining increasing recognition” and despite the compact size of the team it “packs a mighty punch when it comes to infringement litigation”. WTR 1000 indicates that the team can “smoothly handle” cross-border projects thanks to the Firm’s regional network. Amongst many others, the review points out the practice’s work for a global watch manufacturer, a leading Norwegian branded consumer goods company and for a major Russian food producer. The source recommends Pavel Sadovsky, Head of Intellectual Property /TMT Practice in Russia as a “young, well-connected litigator who has already achieved some great results” and singles out his “superior job on IP-driven transactions”.

In Ukraine, WTR 1000 ranks EPAM in the silver band and accentuates its “A-to-Z offering” principle. According to the review “an active transactional practice” of the Firm “excels in shepherding IP-rich deals to a favourable close”. Taras Kyslyy, Head of Intellectual Property /TMT Practice in Ukraine is recognized as “the epitome of erudition”, and a “well educated and incredibly knowledgeable” lawyer.
