On 24 December 2024, Kommersant released its annual selection of landmark cases deemed by its editorial team to have had the most significant impact on the market and Russian legal practice. This year’s list included EPAM Law’s representation of Stockmann JSC in a dispute with the bankruptcy administrator of IPK Atlas LLC (formerly Podium Market LLC) concerning the invalidation of transactions related to Stockmann’s acquisition of certain assets from Podium Market.
The projects are evaluated by Kommersant based on a combination of factors, including the financial scale of the dispute, the significance and precedential value of the decisions rendered, as well as the level of resonance and media coverage generated by the case.
Stockmann’s interests were represented in court, including proceedings at the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation, by EPAM’s Litigation and Arbitration team. The team was led by Denis Arkhipov, Managing Partner of the Moscow office and Co-Head of the Practice, along with Counsel Denis Golubev.
