EPAM Top Ranked in All Key Jurisdictions by Chambers Global 2018

EPAM retains its top positions in Chambers Global 2018, one of the most reputable legal rankings. The firm has been recommended in all key jurisdictions of its presence.

In Russia, the firm is praised for its expertise in Dispute Resolution, both Domestic and International, Corporate and M&A, and Intellectual Property. Eight lawyers are singled out for their skills and client service approach.

The firm retains its top positions in Dispute Resolution, and is a top choice for both international and domestic disputes. The member of the Partners' Committee Dimitry Afanasiev and Managing Partner Ilya Nikiforov enjoy their reputation of Eminent Practitioners. The publication highlights that Afanasiev has extensive experience of advising clients on high-profile contentious cases across a variety of industries”, and Nikiforov “retains his outstanding reputation in international arbitration matters” and also acts as arbitrator.

Evgeny Raschevsky, Partner and Head of the Firm’s International Arbitration and Litigation Practice is recommended for international contentious mandates, as well as for domestic work. "He has good knowledge and good intuition, he's one of the best lawyers," the publication cites, adding that Evgeny is described as "a skilled opponent."

Partner and Co-Head of the Litigation Practice, Dmitry Dyakin is a “respected name in international arbitration”, visible on "a lot of big interesting cases", Chambers Global reports.

Partner Valery Eremenko, who also co-heads the Litigation Practice, “is held in high regard for his experience in domestic litigation”, according to the directory. The publication mentions that Valery handles cases that involve multiple proceedings.

In the area of Corporate and M&A, EPAM enjoys higher rankings than any other national law firm does. The firm provides “top-tier domestic representation to international corporates” and regularly “acts on the Russian aspects of global deals”. Dispute Resolution Practice receives Band 1. On the individual side, the guide acknowledges Managing Partner Serhii Sviriba as Eminent Practitioner who has "a very good reputation in the arbitration world," with commentators lauding him as "one of the leading individuals" and recognising his extensive experience in this field.

Partner Markiyan Kliuchkovskyi is a well-regarded figure in the arbitration community with a significant track record in international arbitration, with particular experience of advising on sports and energy disputes, Chambers Global reveals. A source refers to him as a "stellar performer."

According to the directory, market commentators distinguish Partner Gleb Bialyi as a "very good litigator" who is especially active in the domestic litigation arena covering commercial and administrative proceedings, with particular experience of anti-dumping and anti-subsidy investigations.
