Valeria advises and represents clients in matters before international arbitral tribunals as well as in foreign courts. She has experience in arbitration proceedings under the LCIA, SCC and ICC Rules, and in coordinating litigation in jurisdictions such as the United Kingdom, Germany, and others. Valeria also provides legal support in cross-border inheritance matters.Her representative matters include:
- Acting for a client before an international court in a dispute involving the nationalization of assets by a foreign state;
- Advising Russian clients on potential investment treaty claims related to the expropriation of assets in European and CIS countries;
- Advising a major airline in a dispute arising out of alleged breaches of insurance agreements.
Valeria participated in the mentorship program “Russian Women in Arbitration” (2022 – 2023).
She holds a Bachelor of Laws degree (LL.B.) in English Law from the University of London, an LL.B from the Russian State University of Justice under the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation, and a Master’s degree in International Trade, Finance, and Economic Integration Law from the National Research University Higher School of Economics (HSE). She is currently pursuing her PhD at HSE.
Valeria is fluent in English and speaks a little French.
