Lyudmila Samoylenko specialises in representing clients at both the pre-trial and trial stages of criminal proceedings, during investigative proceedings and throughout prosecutorial reviews.

Lyudmila possesses expertise and extensive experience in the following areas:

  • Protecting clients’ interests (potential suspects, defendants, victims, and witnesses) during pre-investigation checks.
  • Representing clients during overt investigative proceedings, as well as providing legal advice on related aspects of investigative and procedural work.
  • Defending clients (suspects, defendants, victims, and witnesses) during preliminary investigations in criminal cases involving economic and corruption-related offences.
  • Preparing legal opinions on potential criminal law risks faced by clients arising from clients’ business activities and transactions.

Before joining the Firm, Lyudmila served for more than 25 years as an investigator with the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia and the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, specialising in the investigation of economic, corruption-related, and general criminal offences.

Lyudmila graduated from the St Petersburg Higher School of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in 1996.She has been admitted to the Leningrad Region Bar Association.
