Kristina specialises in intellectual property law and advises on matters involving the management, commercialisation and protection of exclusive rights in intellectual creations and means of individualisation. She also handles issues relating to the state registration of intellectual property.

Kristina has extensive experience representing Russian companies in commercial courts, including the Intellectual Property Rights Court, as well as before the Chamber of Patent Disputes.

Among Kristina’s projects are the following*:

  • conducting IP due diligence and structuring the intellectual property portfolio of a major Russian pharmaceutical company;
  • representing a well-known confectionery manufacturer in proceedings concerning a competitor’s unlawful use of its cake design;
  • representing a Russian manufacturer of low-alcohol beverages in proceedings to invalidate a patent for an industrial design on the grounds that it failed to meet the patentability requirements;
  • representing a well-known manufacturer of household cleaning products and personal care cosmetics in proceedings to protect its exclusive trade mark rights and obtain compensation running into the millions;
  • advising one of the largest mineral water producers on the use of product label designs;
  • advising a Russian pharmaceutical manufacturer on the registration of medicinal product names as trade marks;
  • advising one of the world’s largest industrial manufacturers on whether engineering and process documentation can be recognised as a protectable result of intellectual activity;
  • advising an airport holding company on patenting, as an invention, a technical solution used at one of its airports;
  • advising a leading Russian provider of airborne geophysical services on the patentability in Russia of a device;
  • advising the Russian subsidiary of a US medical device manufacturer on registering software in the register maintained by the Ministry of Digital Development;
  • advising a well-known foreign manufacturer of cornmeal products on new requirements governing the use of foreign words on product packaging.

Before joining the Bureau in 2025, Kristina worked at a Russian law firm, where she represented clients in commercial court proceedings and in proceedings before the Chamber of Patent Disputes in intellectual property matters.

Kristina obtained a bachelor’s degree in law from St. Petersburg State University and graduated with distinction from the master’s programme in Intellectual Rights and the Law of New Technologies at Kutafin Moscow State Law University (MSAL).

She also completed further professional training under the Blockchain Lawyer programme at Moscow Digital School.

Kristina is the winner of the 9th Model Intellectual Property Rights Court Competition and a prize winner in the 5th Grant Competition of the MSAL Alumni Association for Best Research in Intellectual Property Rights.

She has also authored a number of academic articles on intellectual property law and regularly takes part in conferences and round-table discussions.

She is fluent in English.
