On October 1, 2015 Mikhail Kazantsev, Partner of EPAM, was appointed public business Ombudsman on de-offshorisation and capital amnesty by the office of Boris Titov, Business Ombudsman under the auspices of the Russian President.
In June 2015, the US logistics company XPO Logistics announced the acquisition of a controlling stake in the French company Norbert Dentressangle SA. The antitrust practice team at EPAM represented XPO in connection with obtaining clearance from the Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia, and was able to secure a positive decision from the FAS in record-breaking time.
On April 2, 2015 EPAM hosted a business breakfast dedicated to the recent changes in the Civil Code of the Russian Federation and their impact on business. The event gathered over 70 representatives of local and foreign companies.
EPAM is pleased to announce the promotion of a number of senior associates in its Russian offices. Effective as of January 1, 2015 Evgeny Bolshakov, Maria Kobanenko, Alina Kudriavtseva, Vladimir Pestrikov, Mark Rovinskiy and Pavel Sadovsky were appointed as counsel in the Moscow office. The team of EPAM in Minsk (the Firm) was a legal consultant in the pilot (for Belarus) privatization project of OJSC “Medplast”. An important stage of the project has recently come to an end: shortlists of potential investors were made.

EPAM announces that the parties successfully closed the Russian part of the global transaction contemplating the sale of real,- Hypermarket chain owned by Metro Group to the French retailer Auchan. The Russian part of the transaction was closed in April 2013.
