EPAM lawyer, Elena Krotova-Sebag, took part in the “Intellectual Property: protecting the trade mark ” conference in Moscow on 29-30 May. She spoke on franchising as a means for the commercialization of intellectual property rights.
The conference was attended by lawyers, experts on intellectual property rights, trademarks and patents, as well as the heads of legal practice of a number of leading Russian and international companies
The participants discussed the latest changes in Russian IP legislation and methods of protection against competitors’ illegal actions.
Ms. Krotova-Sebag’s report was of great interest to the participants. She highlighted the real state of development of the franchising system in Russia, and and illustrated her presentation with a comparative analysis of the development of franchising in Europe.
