Firm’s representatives to attend VIII Russian Legal Forum
On April 17 - 18, 2012, Marriott Royal Aurora, Moscow, will host the VIII Russian Legal Forum organised by Vedomosti newspaper. EPAM is to be the event’s strategic partner. The Forum will be attended by Dimitry Afanasiev, Sergey Kovalev, and Dmitry Stepanov.
The Forum will bring together business and legal community leaders to discuss key legal issues affecting business development and the steps expected to be taken by government authorities to create comfortable conditions for carrying out business in Russia. The Forum’s participants will discuss the prospects of amendments to be made to the Russian Civil Code and their impact on corporate legislation and will additionally discuss antitrust regulation issues. The event will also feature the discussion of pressing judicial practice issues.
The Forum’s first day is to be dedicated to problematic legal issues in business support services. Dimitry Afanasiev, the Chairman of EPAM, is to join the plenary session “Key Legal Issues to Be Resolved for the Sake of Development of Society and the Creation of a Comfortable Business Environment in 2012”. Dmitry Stepanov, Partner at the Firm, will moderate the session entitled “Civil Code Reform and Corporate Law”. The Firm's Partner Natalia Korosteleva will speak during the "Antitrust Law" session.
On the second day of the event Sergey Kovalev, Partner at EPAM, is to speak at the session “Efficiency of Enforcement of Judgments: Problems of Russian Enforcement Proceedings”.
