On 26 September 2008, the official inauguration of the first “Legal Business in the South of Russia” forum took place in Rostov-on-Don, attended by more than one hundred delegates from 35 law firms of southern Russian cities. Nikolay Averchenko, a senior lawyer of EPAM, took part the event.

The attendees, driven by the necessity to provide high quality legal assistance to businesses in one of the most booming Russian regions, included attorneys and corporate counsel from leading companies, national and international law firms of the largest southern Russian cities (Rostov, Krasnodar, Sochi, Stavropol, Volgograd, Astrakhan), took the opportunity to engage professional discussion as part of workshops and unofficial parties.

The agenda of the “Legal Business in the South of Russia” forum included presentations and discussions on expansion of the legal business, current issues of application of law, motivation and technologies and expert workshops, presentations and master classes.
