Moscow (31 August) EPAM expands its Tax Practice to be headed by Igor Schikow.

EPAM are pleased to announce a hire of a highly experienced team of lawyers with extensive knowledge of Russian and international tax laws, banking and financial legislation and successful track record in large international cases. The new team will expand EPAM tax practice and will provide clients with advice on a full spectrum of issues including tax disputes, tax planning, taxation in M&A projects and ongoing taxation liabilities.

Igor Schikow, a recognized expert in taxation law who practiced at a number of leading international law firms, has been appointed to lead the practice. In recent years he worked for a number of law firms and headed the tax practice of a number of auditing firms. Igor specializes in taxation law, tax registrations, banking law, financial leasing, insurance law, application of agreements on avoidance of double taxation, and complex matters related to the profit taxation.

Most of the team members have international qualifications and are fluent in English and German. The team members are certified taxation law consultants and members of professional organizations in Russia such as The Chamber of Tax Consultants and The International Tax Association.
