Mikhail Kazantsev to speak at the III IBA Conference ‘Mergers and Acquisitions in Russia and the CIS’

The ‘Mergers and Acquisitions in Russia and the CIS’ Conference will take place on October 6-7 in Moscow under the aegis of the IBA. Mikhail Kazantsev, Partner at EPAM, will attend the event.

The Conference is organized by the Corporate and M&A Law Committee of the International Bar Association (IBA) and the European Regional Forum of the International Bar Association in collaboration with M&A magazine for the third year running.

2011 has seen Russia witnessing growth in M&A activities. The attraction of the Russian market has been stimulated by the government policies of raising investment and turning the nation’s capital into a world financial center. The state intends to offer some attractive assets for sale which will be yet another step in this direction. At the conference, leading M&A and other experts will be discussing whether such measures can help overcome the contradiction between the Russian market’s high yield and potential and its extremely low share in the global M&A market, among other pressing matters. At the Second session of the event Mikhail Kazantsev, Partner at EPAM, will make a presentation on M&A deal structuring in Russia and the CIS, and on the Russian Civil Code reform.
