Ilya Nikiforov to join the International Commercial Arbitration Conference
On 26-27 May Moscow will host the International Commercial Arbitration Conference organized by the London Court of International Arbitration. Ilya Nikiforov, Managing Partner at EPAM St. Petersburg Law Offices, will chair the Investment Arbitration section.
In the course of this conference leading world experts in international arbitration proceedings are expected to discuss the key aspects of international commercial dispute resolution and ways to create and maintain a “friendly” environment for out-of-court proceedings required to boost trust in Russia on the part of international business. The interactive conference will allow all of its participants to make their own contributions to the deliberations to be organized in the form of moderated discussions.
The conference will focus on:
- development of an alternative dispute resolution system in Russia;
- tribunal: key problems and their solution;
- ethical issues;
- legal intervention;
- proceedings in the London Court of International Arbitration;
- investment arbitration.
The conference will be joined by leading practitioners and theorists in international dispute resolution, arbitrators from both Russian and international arbitration institutes, and lawyers from Russian firms dealing with foreign clients.
Ilya Nikiforov will chair the Investment Arbitration section providing an overview of contemporary trends in international investment disputes and an analysis of rights and obligations of parties to proceedings.
