EPAM in Ukraine to support the Annual Conference Kyiv Arbitration Days 2013: Think Big!

On November 14-15, 2013 the Annual Conference «Kyiv Arbitration Days 2013: Think Big!» organized by the Ukrainian Bar Association (UBA) will be held in Kyiv. EPAM will be the general sponsor of the conference.

For two days, leading experts from around the world will discuss the most topical and complicated issues in international arbitration, including thorough analysis of investment arbitration lifecycle – from preparation of the documents to execution or arbitral decision. 

The participants will discuss the following topics: 

  • international commercial arbitration - arbitrator’s power to adjudicate: scope and borderlines;
  • the expert in international arbitration;
  • an award set-aside;
  • investment protection and investment climate – perspectives on risk, treaty structuring and tax planning;  
  • investment protection and government contracts – risks;
  • investment protection and political risk insurance;
  • energy disputes.

Participants from many countries of Eastern and Western Europe, America and CIS will attend the conference. Leading international experts express their interest in the event aiming to share the best international arbitration practice with Ukrainian colleagues.

Markiyan Kliuchkovskyi, Partner of International Arbitration and Cross-Border Litigation practice of EPA&P Ukraine, will moderate the session “Arbitrator’s Power to Adjudicate: Scope and Borderlines”. Roman Stepanenko, Head of Banking & Finance, Capital Markets practice will deliver his presentation on the topic: “Hardship Clauses: any added value?”
