Helen Avakyan Will Lecture at the Educational Program “Intellectual Property in Digital Economy”
In October 2020, Scientific and Educational Center for Intellectual Property and Digital Economy Digital IP will open its second enrollment period for its educational program “Intellectual Property in Digital Economy. Helen Avakyan, Counsel at EPAM will be lecturer for the course.
The course is designed to improve the legal literacy of authors and consumers of all types of creative content, from music to R&D, designer solutions and computer software. The program is divided into four modules: Creativity, Technology, Economics and Security.
The first module is to give the students a comprehensive understanding of how the intellectual property market works and teach them to properly create, protect and monetize content in the digital reality. The second module, Technology, will focus on legal innovations, as well as digital tools and services in intellectual property law. The Economics module is to cover the specifics of development of creative economies and industries, the economy of knowledge and the economy of attention.
Helen is to lecture for the module “Security”, which starts on December 9, 2020, and will address approaches on fixing legal, technical and other problems, as well as the mitigation of risks involved in the creation of content, both in real life, and in the cyber realm.
