Dmitry Afanasiev to speak at St. Petersburg International Economic Forum
On June 20-22, 2013 the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) will be held in St. Petersburg. Dmitry Afanasiev, Chairman of EPAM Law will present a report during a round table entitled “Commissioner for the Entrepreneurs’ Rights – the First Year Results» on the Forum’s third day.
Dmitry Afanasiev will attend a round table moderated by Boris Titov, the Russian Presidential Commissioner for Entrepreneurs’ Rights. The institution of the Russian Presidential Commissioner for Entrepreneurs’ Rights was established on June 22, 2012, Federal Law “On Commissioners for Entrepreneurs’ Rights in the Russian Federation” was adopted on May 7, 2013. The attendees will discuss the main entrepreneurs’ problems identified in the work and the factual statistics of illegal criminal prosecution of entrepreneurs and identification of administrative barriers, the way the institution’s activities interact with the international practice and the period of time needed by the Institution for the administrative system to operate for the benefit of the business community on its own.
