Alexey Karchiomov to speak at Trilogy Conference (Transport. Investments. Logistics.)

The 6th Annual International Trilogy Conference (Transport. Investments. Logistics.) will take place on 19 March 2013 in St. Petersburg. Alexey Karchiomov, an expert on international maritime law at the Firm, will take part in the conference.

The following issues will be discussed during the 2013 Trilogy Conference:

  • The future of transport in the Baltic and Barents Euro-Arctic regions.
  • Improving transport activity and optimizing passenger and goods flows in the Baltic Sea region by developing multimodal transport solutions.
  • The development of ports in the Baltic and Barents Euro-Arctic regions.
  • Transport initiatives in the Baltic and Barents Euro-Arctic regions.

Conference participants will include representatives from Russian regions within the North-Western Federal District and from Baltic and Northern European countries, as well as senior figures from the Russian Federation Ministry of Transport, federal agencies, industry associations, and major transport and logistics companies.

Alexey Karchiomov will present a report on ‘The role of the 2008 Rotterdam Rules in improving legal regulation of multimodal transportation’ as part of the second session of the conference, which is entitled ‘Improving transport activity and optimizing passenger and goods flows in the Baltic Sea region by developing multimodal transport solutions.’
