Paris, 13 June, 2008 – EPAM, Russia’s leading national law firm, has been rewarded for its excellence with the Gold Award for the Best Russian Law Firm of the Year at the first Annual International Legal Alliance Summit Awards.

The International Legal Alliance Summit Awards, which took place in Paris last night, is an exceptional event gathering the leading players in the legal profession, and the best independent law firms from more than 20 countries. The Awards aim to recognize the most distinguished law firms in each of the domestic markets for their excellent results over the last year, as well as lasting performance in management and leadership.

The winners of each category were determined by the 15 jury panels involving more than 100 senior legal executives from across all major industry sectors, as well as in-house counsel and senior financial executives.

Commenting on the award, Dimitry Afanasiev, the member of the Partners' Committee of EPAM, said: “We are delighted to have won this prestigious award as it recognizes not only the quality of the work but also the calibre of projects we advise on. Our practice continues to produce consistently excellent results, whether in support of other areas of the firm or, as acknowledged by this award, as the leading, internationally recognized Russian national law firm. 

Earlier this year EPAM was awarded the Russian National Law Firm of the Year award at the 2008 Chambers Awards for Excellence.
