About the Event

Business practices have undergone significant change. International arbitration is playing an increasingly critical role in resolving disputes between Russian and foreign companies, while the conditions for handling such cases—and the strategies for protecting interests—are evolving. New trends are also emerging in the bankruptcy of foreign legal entities.

Additionally, the spin-off of local offices of Western companies into independent firms, the transfer of assets to Russian top management or external buyers, and related structural changes require a rethinking of traditional corporate governance approaches.

In 2022, representatives of large and medium-sized businesses met at the discussion «The Fate of Foreign Business in Russia: How to Act in the New Reality?» to review the first outcomes of major changes in the legal and economic environment. In 2023, the focus shifted to new operating models for domestic and international companies at the seminar «Foreign Business in Russia: Transformation Pathways.»

This year, EPAM Law’s experts and business representatives will address the most pressing questions of dispute resolution, bankruptcy, corporate governance, tax, and antitrust law.
