Julia has an extensive experience in defending the interests of major Russian and international companies in litigation related to bankruptcy, corporate law and land law. Notably, she has successfully handled cases involving the bankruptcy of airlines, developers, construction companies, restaurant holdings and enterprises from various other sectors of the economy. Julia also specialises in representing clients in high-profile and complex disputes related to construction, environmental issues and corporate conflicts.

Julia's key projects include:

  • Representing the founders of Transaero Aviation Company in one of the largest bankruptcy cases (the total creditor claims registry amounting to approximately RUB 240 bn). This included defending clients in one of the largest cases in Russian practice related to subsidiary liability (claims exceeding RUB 249 bn) and in numerous related disputes.
  • Comprehensively representing a leading Russian diversified group operating in infrastructure construction and defending the client in dozens of legal proceedings arising from the construction of Russia’s second-largest sports facility, worth approximately USD 1 b.
  • Advising an international construction company on resolving a dispute arising from a construction contract valued at over RUB 4 bn for building a business centre in St. Petersburg. During construction, the client faced unforeseen circumstances that affected the construction timeline and increased the scope of work, causing delays in completing certain construction phases. Julia and the team successfully helped the client fully resolve the conflict with the contractor on mutually beneficial terms, maintain a partnership with the client and mitigate incurred losses.
  • Representing Russia's largest restaurant holding in a dispute over the invalidation and subsequent consequences of a franchise acquisition deal involving KFC businesses in the Krasnodar region and Adygea. With a total value exceeding RUB 1.6 billion, the case was recognised as the “Dispute of the Year 2023” by Kommersant Publishing House.
  • Representing FSUE Morsvyazsputnik, Russia’s sole provider of satellite communications services INMARSAT, in disputes arising from construction contracts and in a bankruptcy case involving the counterparty, LLC "GLONASS North-West." This included securing the imposition of subsidiary liability on controlling persons, contesting transactions and recovering valuable assets for the bankruptcy estate.
  • Representing a Russian investment company in a bankruptcy case involving a major retailer with total claims exceeding RUB 8 bn.
  • Representing one of Russia’s largest manufacturers of high-voltage equipment in a dispute over the invalidation of a transaction exceeding RUB 1.2 bn.
  • Representing "Global Metcorp», part of an international group of steel brokers, in the bankruptcy of LLC "Torex" (previously one of the largest steel suppliers). The work included defending the client’s interests in disputes over registering claims exceeding RUB 900 m in the registry, contesting the debtor’s contract with the client, subordinating claims of creditors affiliated with the debtor and overturning court decisions regarding the wrongful approval of the insolvency administrator.
  • Representing a railway rolling stock manufacturing holding in a lawsuit alleging non-fulfilment of obligations, imposition of penalties and multi-billion-rouble losses.
  • Advising one of Russia’s leading manufacturers of mobile lifting equipment on business reorganisation and bankruptcy risks following the imposition of international economic sanctions on Russia.
