Business Seminar: «Asset Seizure in 2024 – Trends, Risks, and Court Practice»
EPAM Law invites you to attend the business seminar «Asset Seizure in 2024: Trends, Risks, and Court Practice», which will take place on 25 January 2024 (Thursday) from 11:00 to 13:30 in a hybrid format.
Venue (for in-person participants): EPAM Law Office, 4th Floor, 22–24 Nevsky Prospekt, St. Petersburg
Welcome coffee: 10:30–11:00
About the Seminar
Over the past two years, the Russian Prosecutor’s Office has filed more than 55 claims seeking to transfer private companies and assets to the state. One of the main reasons cited for asset seizures is alleged violations of Russian legislation during the privatisation of enterprises deemed strategically important for the country.
This seminar will address the following key questions:
- What are the latest trends in deprivatisation claims?
- How can companies build an effective compliance system to minimise legal risks?
- How can businesses protect their assets in the face of potential seizure claims?
Drawing on real court cases, the Managing Partner and the Head of the Litigation Practice of EPAM Law’s St. Petersburg office will provide practical insights and recommendations.
Target Audience
Business owners, top management, heads of legal departments, commercial and financial directors, chief accountants, and executives of large companies.
