EPAM Minsk office supported the first-ever republican competition Best Legal Departments taking place in Belarus. The awards ceremony was held on March 28, 2014 in Minsk.
Dennis Turovets, Managing Partner of EPAM (Minsk), was chosen as a member of the Expert Panel. The Panel consisted of the most reputable professionals including heads of legal departments of ministries and leading companies in Belarus to choose the winners in the following categories:
- Industrial sector
- Construction
- Wholesale, retail and catering
- Financial services
- Food & beverages
- FMCG
- Telecom, transportation and logistics
- Consumer and business services
“Our support for this undertaking has already been shown in that we have responded to the invitation to become a general partner of the project without any hesitation. It is a great pleasure to see new initiatives within the legal community, in particular, with regard to legal departments, I believe that this project will help to redefine the position of our colleagues and, in turn, this will give them a chance to assert themselves. Jessup contest. .The winner of the national round receives a unique opportunity to take part in the final round in the USA. This opens new opportunities for the participants, there is an opportunity to determine who the top contestants are during the competition, and for the other participants - to re-evaluate themselves and, subsequently, defines new targets going forward. Any opportunity to give motivation for self-improvement should be welcomed, and the carrying out of such an outstanding national event as Best Legal Departments will also promote the popularisation of the legal profession”, - said Dennis Turovets.
