On 25 January 2018, Partner Tatyana Nozhkina headed the White Collar Crime Practice at EPAM’ St. Petersburg office. Tatyana is experienced in handling economic, malpractice, corruption, and tax-related cases. She represents clients in both pre-trial proceedings and before courts of general jurisdiction, including the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation, as well as during prosecutorial investigations.
In her new role, Tatyana will deliver legal assistance to clients in North West Russia and develop the firm’s local White Collar Crime team. She will also continue to work in Moscow as part of the Firm’s national WCC Practice, headed by Partner and Doctor of Laws Victoria Burkovskaya.
Tatyana specialises in defending senior executives of major Russian and foreign companies, heads of state corporations, and high-level government officials from unfounded criminal prosecution, as well as in defending the interests of foreign companies which have been affected by illegal activities in Russia. Her clients are drawn from diverse sectors of the economy, including banking, insurance, oil and gas, fuel and energy, and telecommunications. Tatyana deals efficiently with special situations and achieves strong results thanks to her 20 years of practical experience working with Russia’s leading law firms, and her first-class education.
Tatyana Nozhkina has successfully defended clients against fraudulent bankruptcy, active and passive bribery, tax evasion, fraud, illegal use of a trademark, commercial bribery, unauthorised computer access, money laundering, illegal entrepreneurship and banking activities, and evasion of customs payments. She has also provided counsel on compliance check and compliance risk management.
Tatyana graduated from the Law School of the Lomonosov Moscow State University, in 1998. She qualified as attorney in 2000, and went on to spend more than 10 years with Padva and Partners, preeminent Russian WCC boutique. Counsel in White Collar Crime Practice at EPAM from 2013 to 2016, Tatyana was promoted to Partner in 2017. She is a member of the Moscow Bar Association.
