Stephen Zack, President of the American Bar Association (ABA) gave a speech to the associates of EPAM at the meeting held on 15 September 2010 at firm’s office in Moscow.

During his speech, the ABA President touched upon such issues as law ethics, mission and the ultimate goal of legal profession as well as his own law career and the opportunities of cooperation between Russian and American lawyers within the global legal community.

Stephen Zack explained the effects of globalization and information technology development upon legal profession. “Today we are employees of a single global law firm, constantly cooperating with each other,” he said. Mr Zack pointed out that the pace and degree of cooperation between the lawyers improves their transparency within the global legal community, resulting in improvement in law ethics standards around the world.

Dimitry Afanasiev, the Chairman of the Partners’ Committee at EPAM, presented at the meeting and thanked Stephen Zack for sharing his views with the Firm’s associates.
