The official ceremony of awarding the winners of the contest “Best Legal Departments in Belarus – 2014”, one of the major highlights of the year in the legal community, was held on April 10, 2015. “Best Legal Departments in Belarus – 2014” is an annual voluntary competition among the companies’ legal departments. The Minsk office of EPAM was the general partner of the contest.

The managing partner of the Minsk office Dennis Turovets joined the expert council, which is formed from the most authoritative experts in the field of law, heads of the ministries’ legal departments, heads of the legal departments of the “Best Legal Departments in Belarus – 2013” winners.

The best legal departments were determined in seven categories:

1. Industrial production.
2. Construction and building materials production.
3. Wholesale and retail trade, catering.
4. Banking.
5. Food and consumer goods production.
6. Communication services, telecommunication services, transportation and logistics services.
7. Business services and consumer services.

Dennis Turovets awarded the prize to the representative of “Belarusbank” legal department, which became the winner in the category “Banking Services” (Grand Prize). The largest legal departments of the Belarusian companies were the competitors within this category.

With the assistance of the Minsk office of EPAM an excursion trip to the estate and park complex “Panski maentak Sula” was organized for the winners of the “Best Legal Departments Belarus – 2014”.“Panski maentak Sula” is a unique place where the historical appearance of Belarus in different epochs from the 9^th to the 19^th centuries is recreated.
