A team from EPAM has successfully defended the interests of EGGER, one of Europe’s largest wood product manufacturing companies. The firm proved that the company’s technological equipment is unique and obtained permission from the Russian Government for the import of equipment on preferential terms.
Securing these terms was crucial for the implementation of a large-scale investment project in Smolensk Region worth more than EUR 200 million.
The successful implementation of the project was supported by a team from Legislation & Public Policy and Tax Practices, including Counsels Andrey Bashirov and Igor Schikow and Associate Evgeny Kirienko, under the supervision of Partner Andrey Porfiriev.
Over the past eight months EPAM has also successfully represented EGGER before the Russian Ministry of Industry, the Chamber of Commerce of the Russian Federation and other state bodies and organizations.
