Grigory Chernyshov, a partner at EPAM, participated in the Conflict of Interest in Civil and Arbitration Proceedings Conference, held at the Federal Chamber of Russian Attorneys.

Grigory delivered a speech on “Regulation of Conflict of Interest under Russian Law" during the “Legal Regulation of Conflict of Interest: Russian and US Experience” session of the Conference.

The event provided a platform for Russian and foreign attorneys to discuss such pressing matters as:

• Ethical aspects of relations between attorneys and their clients in cases of potential conflict of interest in corporate or other commercial disputes;
• Ways to prevent a conflict of interest in attorneys’ work;
• Conflict of interest in client relations during bankruptcies, employment and other disputes;
• Disciplinary action against attorneys for any actions that lead or may lead to a conflict of interest etc.

The conference was attended by Russian and foreign experts, representatives of the Federal Chamber of Russian Attorneys, American Bar Association in Russia, Russian Bar Association and major international and Russian law firms.
