EPAM’ Minsk office acted as the legal counsel under Belarusian law to Nordic Aviation Capital, a global leader in regional aircraft leasing.
Under the leasing terms Belavia, the largest national Belarusian airline, will receive five Embraer aircraft in 2019-2020, making it the largest lease transaction in the history of Belarusian aviation fleet. New planes will serve on the regular routes. The transaction is an essential part of Belavia’s fleet growth initiative which will allow Belavia to successfully implement its strategy on growth and ensure cost-effective development. By April 2020 Belavia’s fleet should include 12 Embraer aircraft.
Minsk office of EPAM has already worked with Nordic Aviation Capital before, acting as the Belarusian counsel on the legal aspects of leasing aircrafts in Belarus as well as advising on Belarusian aviation regulations and Belavia status under the transactions and their implementation with Air Lease Corporation group companies.
