EPAM is pleased to announce its participation and sponsorship of IX Annual M&A Forum “Keeping a Going Concern Going: Restructuring or Bankruptcy”, which took place in Moscow on 30 September 2009. The conference was attended by EPA&P’s senior lawyer Mikhail Kazantsev and lawyer Maxim Rasputin.
A key topic at the Forum was the legal aspect of restructuring in Russia, specifically addressing new methods, schemes and technologies for the protection of the debtor’s interests. The latter issues were addressed by Mikhail Kazantsev a senior lawyer at EPA&P in his presentation entitled “Bankruptcy – instrument for company revival? The second session of the conference was entitled “Bankruptcy or Court Supervised Business Reorganization: Global Experience and Trends of Russian Law, focused on international restructuring efforts”. During the discussion Maxim Rasputin lawyer at EPA&P gave an overview of bankruptcy regulations in developed jurisdictions compared to similar procedures in Russia. The Forum was attended by companies’ directors, legal consultants and leading financial advisers.
