EPAM’ team has successfully defended the interests of OJSC Aviakor, a part of the corporation Russian Machines and one of the largest Russian aircraft manufacturers, in a complicated dispute with the regional tax authorities.
The dispute arose out of the claims brought by the regional tax authorities related to the failure to pay taxes valued at about 10 million USD.
On October 22, 2013 the Presidium of the Supreme Arbitration Court of the Russian Federation cancelled the judgments delivered earlier by the appellate and cassation courts thus upholding the decision of the Samara Region Arbitrazh Court taken in favor of Aviakor, to invalidate the regional tax authorities’ decision.
