In Moscow the Russian Ministry for Natural Resources and Ecology hosted a conference, organized by The Guild of Managers and Developers, entitled Environmental Friendliness and Energy Efficiency in Real Estate. Elena Pristanskova, Attorney at EPAM, attended the event.

The invitees included major developers, representatives of government committees and departments, architects, ecologists and other experts. All speakers focused on government incentives to switch to green construction technologies and relevant legal support for such initiatives.

Elena Pristanskova spoke at the session on Development of Russian Laws in Energy Saving and Eco-Friendly Construction. Elena spoke about events that fostered improvements in the relevant legislation, stages in establishment, approval and introduction of specialized regulations and other matters related to legal support services for “green” development projects. She noted that coordinated actions by all those involved in the process would help expedite important decisions. Only a comprehensive approach by all concerned with promoting such ideas could ensure proper and timely support to the project as a public private partnership project.
