On June 9th, the IPO-2011 Conference, organized by Cbonds-Congress and PREQVECA, took place in Moscow.
The conference was attended by recognized investment bankers and fund managers, who shared their views on the IPO market for Russian and CIS companies in the light of global economic trends of 2011. Analysts of leading banks spoke on IPOs industry specifics. Experienced auditors and lawyers gave recommendations of the steps to be undertaken by a firm in order to achieve a successful IPO.
Alexey Andrusenko (Associate at EPAM) delivered a speech titled “The Second Wave of Privatization: IPO as a Form of Attracting Capital” during the “New Generation of Russian Entrepreneurs: Growth and Venture Capital Companies IPOs” Session. In his speech, Alexey referred to key policies regulating privatization through IPOs and drew attention to the necessary amendments to laws, which aim to facilitate the process. He went on to outline the process, spoke about its key methods, finally identifying key advantages and disadvantages of IPOs in general.
