EPAM’ Competition Law practice has successfully developed an antitrust compliance programme for M.Video, the leading Russian retail chain selling consumer electronics and appliances and one of the largest companies in this market in Europe. The company has become the first consumer electronics retailer to launch an antitrust compliance programme.
Lawyers at the Firm carried out an antitrust audit for M.Video, on the basis of which they developed an antitrust policy, which was later approved by the company’s Board of Directors and published on the retailer’s website here (available in Russian only).
The work also involved identifying antitrust risks present in the company’s activities, formulating recommendations on how to eliminate or minimise these risks, developing a corporate antitrust risk prevention programme and organising training for M.Video employees and executives.
Partner Anna Numerova, Counsel Denis Gavrilov, Associate Alexander Balyberdin, Junior Associate Igor Gavrilov and Paralegal Kirill Nagorsky all worked on the project.
