The annual IBA conference took place in Madrid. It was attended by EPAM partners Dimitry Afanasiev and Evgueny Raschevsky and by senior lawyer Maria Miroshnikova.

The annual IBA conference has become the premier opportunity for the lawyers worldwide, enabling them to discuss key legislative changes in a number of jurisdictions both officially and unofficially, which is crucial to successfully practice in the current economic climate.

More than 150 working sessions covered all areas of practice as part of the conference. Thee sessions came under special focus presented by:

• the IBA Public and Professional Interest Division

• the IBA Human Rights Institute

Evgueny Raschevsky, a partner at EPAM, gave a presentation at the session Human Rights in Commercial Litigation.
