Kutafin University Legal Career Forum to Take Place with EPAM Law Support

On 18–19 April 2024, the II Legal Career Forum of the Kutafin Moscow State Law University (MSAL) will take place. This year, the Forum is held with the support of EPAM Law.

The event will open with a panel discussion titled «The Legal Profession», featuring Evgeny Bolshakov, Partner and Head of the Antitrust Practice at EPAM Law.

Vera Richtermann, Partner in EPAM Law’s Litigation and Arbitration Practice, will moderate the session «Pandora’s Box: What Skills Are Law Graduates Lacking?». In this session, representatives from legal consulting, academia, in-house legal teams, recruitment, and psychology will discuss which competencies are now most in demand, how future graduates should prepare for successful careers, and why the expectations of candidates and employers often clash due to differing perceptions of a lawyer’s role in various industries.

Alexandra Mednikova, Senior Associate in EPAM Law’s Litigation and Arbitration Practice, will also participate in the session.

Additionally, the Forum will feature the award ceremony for the winners of the EPAM Law Scholarship Programme, in which participants were invited to prepare an analytical paper on one of the following topics:

  • The Development of the «Single Economic Entity» Doctrine in Current Case Law: Doctrinal and Practical Reflections on a New Trend
  • Fiduciary Duties of Corporate Directors and Liability for Breach
