Conference: «Criminal Law Practice – Key Trends, Defence Strategies, and Lessons for Business»

EPAM Law invites you to attend the practical conference «Criminal Law Practice: Key Trends, Defence Strategies, and Lessons for Business», to be held on 31 January 2024 (Wednesday) from 11:00 to 15:30 in a hybrid format.

Venue (for in-person participants): EPAM Law Office, 4th Floor, 22–24 Nevsky Prospekt, St. Petersburg
Welcome coffee: 10:30–11:00

About the Conference

In 2023, further amendments to the Criminal Code and Criminal Procedure Code were introduced. Combating economic crime in the context of government contracts increasingly leads to criminal liability. There is also a growing number of cases initiated on the basis of information disclosed by company employees.

Moreover, digital data and information technologies now pose additional risks, as electronic records and communications can be used as evidence in criminal proceedings.

These and other factors place businesses under considerable threat, creating significant personal risks for owners and top managers.

This practical conference will address the following key questions:

  • What criminal law trends will be relevant in 2024?
  • What are the most common types of offences?
  • How can businesses proactively minimise the risk of criminal liability?
  • How should employees be prepared to interact with law enforcement authorities?

Drawing on real-life cases and practical experience, EPAM Law’s experts will provide guidance on how businesses can protect their interests in this evolving legal landscape.
