Asset Confiscation as a Criminal Law Measure: Legal Grounds, Procedures, and Current Practice

EPAM Law invites you to participate in the business seminar «Asset Confiscation as a Criminal Law Measure: Legal Grounds, Procedures, and Current Practice», which will take place on 5 March 2024 (Tuesday) from 11:00 to 13:30 in a hybrid format.

Venue (for in-person participants): EPAM Law Office, Nevsky Prospekt 22–24, 4th Floor, St. Petersburg
Welcome coffee: 10:30–11:00

About the Seminar

In addition to measures aimed at recovering unlawfully obtained assets, Russian courts are increasingly applying confiscation of property as a sanction for criminal offences. The use of this measure has doubled in recent years, with over 5,000 cases recorded in 2022 alone.

In 2024, the list of criminal offences subject to confiscation has been further expanded, signalling that courts will likely continue to apply this measure with greater frequency.

At this seminar, EPAM Law’s Managing Partner and Head of the White-Collar Crime Practice in St. Petersburg will explain what businesses need to know about asset confiscation and provide practical guidance on navigating this area of law.
