EPAM has successfully defended the interests of Alexander Chazhengin, the First Deputy Head of the Republic of Karelia proving that his rights had been infringed and that the opponent, i.e. the Government of the Republic of Karelia, was to comply with the court decision reinstalling Chazhengin to his earlier position.

The V Annual Conference entitled "Antitrust Regulation in Russia" was held by NPP for Promotion of Competition and Vedomosti newspaper and supported by the Federal Antimonopoly Service on October 25, 2013 in Moscow and October 28, 2013 in Brussels. On October 8, 2013 the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP) approved the new list of permanent members of the Committee for Development of Pension Schemes and Social Insurance. Ilya Nikiforov takes part in drafting Russian version of IBA Guidelines on Party Representation in International Arbitration

On May 25, 2013, the International Bar Association (IBA) adopted the Guidelines on Party Representation in International Arbitration. Ilya Nikiforov, Managing Partner of the St. Petersburg Law Office of EPAM, was part of the team in charge of drafting the Russian version of the guidelines, which was released in October 2013.

EPAM Law succeeds in defending the interests of bona fide purchasers in a landmark case at the Presidium of the Supreme Arbitration Court of the Russian Federation

On October 1, 2013 the Presidium of the Supreme Arbitration Court of the Russian Federation satisfied the supervisory appeals by three offshore companies, the ultimate buyers of Khakass Bentonite OJSC shares, and dismissed the plaintiffs’ claims to recover about 70% of Khakass Bentonite OJSC shares.
