Ilya Nikiforov, a Managing partner of St. Petersburg law office of EPAM has been appointed as Vice-Chair of the Russia/Eurasia Committee of the ABA Section of International Law for the term running from August 4, 2009 to August 5, 2010.
Mr. Nikiforov is a member of Federal Bar Chamber of Russian Federation and vice-chair of Arbitration Committee of IBA (International Bar Association). He is listed as an arbitrator by European and Russian arbitration institutions and frequently appears in arbitration proceedings. Ilya represents client interests at domestic forums at all levels and before Moscow arbitration institution and other prominent commercial arbitration institutions, such as the ICC, LCIA and SCC. He is known for strong expertise in both litigation and arbitration.
Mr. Nikiforov has been recognized by Chambers and Partners as a leader in his practice area and was highly recommended by the European Legal 500 for leading the Dispute Resolution practice that “fully deserves its enviable reputation”.
