Associates of EPAM speak at Russian Ministry of Justice conference on law enforcement monitoring
On June 11, 2013, a research and training conference on law enforcement monitoring, organized by the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation, was held at St. Petersburg State University. Associates of EPAM took the floor at the conference.
The conference covered a broad range of issues: how general and commercial courts can implement the legal positions of the Russian Constitutional Court; the application of anticorruption legislation to comply with international obligations; civil, criminal and administrative legislation; corporate law reform; and legal enforcement in various sectors including healthcare, the electricity industry, housing and communal services, personal data, and industrial safety.
Four of the Firm's associates presented papers at the conference: Elena Agaeva (round table on Personal Data – Communication), Vladislav Arkhipov (round table on Personal Data – Communication), Vsevolod Baibak (Civil Legislation section), and Elena Legashova (Criminal and Administrative Legislation section). Partner Sergey Kovalev also delivered a report at the conference.
