IT-Lawyers Discussion Club (ITLDC) meeting organized by EPAM Takes Place in Moscow
Today Business Center Ducat Place II hosted a Club meeting organized by EPAM and Baker Botts L.L.P.
The Club brings together lawyers working in IT and related industries. Pavel Sadovsky, Senior Associate at EPAM, is the Club's co-chairman and founder.
Since its inception two years ago the Club has become an influential discussion platform that has won popularity among the industry's legal practitioners. Meetings take place monthly and focus on current issues related to IT industry regulation. The last meeting was devoted to the legal regulation of software updates and methods to use various intellectual property assets.
The following issues were included in the program for discussion:
- the legal nature of software updates;
- the extent and methods of using intellectual rights transferred under license agreement with respect to various intellectual property assets and their meaning in specific business cases;
- reports on LL.M. course at Stanford University.
