The President of the RSPP has approved the Board’s arbitrators - recognized scientists and practitioners of the intellectual property market, many of whom have been directly involved in creating the basis for the regulation of IP in Russia. Helen Avakyan, Counsel at EPAM, was appointed as the Chairman of the Board. Pavel Sadovsky, Partner and Head of Intellectual Property / TMT Practice was appointed as an arbitrator of the Board.

The arbitrators of the Board will consider disputes on infringement of intellectual property rights – including transactions related to the creation of intellectual property – as well as disputes within the framework of the disposal of exclusive rights to intellectual property, the  registration and use of domains, and disputes arising from license agreements.

“For the first time in Russian history, businesses have the opportunity to access

a full-fledged specialised arbitration institution in the field of intellectual property law. I am sure that in the near future such a dynamic institution as arbitration will prove its effectiveness in this developing and continuously transforming IP market,” said Elena Avakyan.
