The Firm's assistance in the course of tax disputes, tax risks reviews and legal opinions on various matters of tax and customs law receives top tier ranking. Recently, the bulk of the practice has shifted towards disputes, with Partner Oleksii Reznikov, “one of Ukraine's leading attorneys in the field of dispute resolution”, at the head of the practice. Over the last year, EPAM' lawyers have defended clients in a number of tax disputes. These are cases related to tax assessment of losses carried forward from 2010, application of VAT to the transfer of assets during a corporate reorganisation of Johnson Controls Group's Ukrainian subsidiary.
