Recently, the bulk of the practice has shifted towards disputes, with Partner Oleksii Reznikov, “one of Ukraine's leading attorneys in the field of dispute resolution”, at the head of the practice. The guide distinguishes Senior Associate Oleksandr Maydanyk, “in charge of continued development of the practice’s litigation work”, and Counsel Sergiy Grebenyuk “specializing in the area where tax and criminal law meet”.

Over the last year, EPAM' lawyers have defended clients in a number of tax disputes. These are cases related to tax assessment of losses carried forward from 2010, application of VAT to the transfer of assets during a corporate reorganisation of Johnson Controls Group's Ukrainian subsidiary. The practice has also conducted a pre-acquisition review of a hydrocarbons exploration and production company in relation to its compliance with the pre-Tax Code regulations and the requirements of the Tax Code. It also advised on the tax structuring of the salary and other payments of one of the Ukrainian Premier League's top football clubs.
